Distribution Frame/Patch Panel

Optical Distribution Frame (ODF) is a device used for optical fiber fixing, optical fiber fusion splicing, optical fiber matching, optical path jumpering and optical fiber storage at the optical cable terminal. It is a wiring connection device between optical cables and optical communication equipment or between optical communication equipment, and is used for the termination and distribution of trunk optical cables at the local end of the optical fiber communication system. Optical fiber distribution frames are used to connect various optical fiber devices in the park, such as switches, routers, servers, etc. In intelligent buildings, optical fiber distribution frames serve as the management center of the optical fiber network, responsible for centralized management and connection of optical fiber lines of various systems.

Patch Panel is an embedded hardware unit that contains a collection of port locations in a communication system or other electronic and electrical system. It allows users to quickly connect and disconnect devices or lines physically or logically, thereby achieving flexible management of network devices. The working principle of PATCH PANEL is based on the use of patch cords. A patch cord is a cable with connectors on both ends that is used to connect two ports on a PATCH PANEL. By replacing the patch cord, users can easily change the connection method of a device or line without rewiring.
