Single-mode optical fiber G.652D is designed for optical transmission systems operating in the entire wavelength window of 1260nm to 1625nm. By suppressing the water peak near 1383 nm due to hydroxyl (OH-) ion absorption in traditional single-mode fiber, the fiber is able to open the E-band (1360-1460 nm) for operation, thus providing a usable wavelength of more than 100nm.
Single-mode optical fiber G.657.A1 contains all the characteristics of single-mode fiber and provides good resistance to microbending. It has low macrobending sensitivity and low water peak level. It is fully optimized for use in the O-E-S-C-L band (1260 -1625 nm). It can resist extra losses well due to low macrobending in the 1625 nm wavelength region. This not only supports L-band applications, but also allows for easy installation without excessive care when storing the fiber (for example, in a splice box). For cable use within buildings, G657A1 fiber supports small cable bend radius and compact installation.
Single-mode optical fiber G.657.A2 combines excellent properties: excellent low macrobending sensitivity and low water peak level. It is fully optimized for use in the O-E-S-C-L band (1260 -1625 nm). The bend-insensitive characteristic not only guarantees L-band application, but also allows for easy installation without excessive care when storing the fiber, especially for FTTH network applications. The bend radius in the fiber guide port and the minimum bend radius in wall and corner installations can be reduced.
Single-mode optical fiber G.657.B3 is designed for fiber-to-the-home (FTTH), enterprise networks, and any other application that requires ultra-low bending losses at small bend radii.
Single-mode optical fiber G.654.E has lower attenuation or larger optical fiber effective area, which can help the system meet the 3U (ultra-high speed, ultra-large capacity, and ultra-long distance) characteristics.
