Stranded Loose Tube Non-metallic Strength Member Armored Fiber Optic Cable
The structure of stranded loose tube non-metallic strength member armored fiber optic cable is to put 250μm optical fiber into a loose tube made of high modulus material, and the loose tube is filled with waterproof compound. The center of the cable core is a non-metallic reinforcement core (FRP). For optical cables with certain cores, a layer of polyethylene (PE) needs to be extruded outside the non-metallic reinforcement core.
The loose tube (and filling rope) are twisted around the central reinforcement core to form a compact and circular cable core, and the gaps in the cable core are filled with water-blocking fillers. After the plastic-coated aluminum tape (APL) is longitudinally wrapped, a polyethylene inner sheath is extruded, and after the double-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) is longitudinally wrapped, a polyethylene outer sheath is extruded to form a cable.
Characteristics
Good mechanical and temperature performance
High strength loose tube that is hydrolysis resistant
Special tube filling compound ensure a critical protection of fibre
Crush resistance and flexibility
The following measures are taken to ensure the cable watertight:
-Single Fibre Reinforced Plastic as the central strength member
-Loose tube filling compound
-100% cable core filling
-APL moisture barrier
-PSP enhancing moisture-proof
-Water-blocking material
Standards
GYFTA53 cable complies with Standard YD/T 901 as well as IEC 60794-1.
