The structure of the GYFTZY optical cable is to enclose a 250µm optical fiber in a loose jacket made of high modulus material, and fill the jacket with waterproof compound. The center of the cable core is a glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP). The loose jacket (and the filling rope) are wound around the central reinforcing core to form a compact and circular cable core. The gaps inside the cable core are filled with water-resistant filler. An extruded flame-retardant sheath is applied to the outside of the cable core to form the cable.
